Speed Limit in Cyprus

The table below lists the speed limits that apply in South Cyprus. But it is still recommended that you look out for local speed signs as local speed limits may be different.

In North Cyprus the speed limit is almost as it is in South Cyprus. Below you will find the speed limits for the different types of roads found in North Cyprus. However, please note that local areas may have different speed limits (especially inter urban areas) so please look out for speed signs and abide by local limits. Also please be informed that where there are forks or crossings in the highway speed limits are normally reduced to 65km/h (40miles/h). It is advised that you reduce your speed at such areas to conform to the speed limit as they may be monitored by police with radar devices.
